Hi everyone. I am creating a browser called Lauve browser and am running in some problems. It is based on awesomium ?. 1. I am using the web browser projects (TWBP) tab api and i wanted to load a loading gif into the tab icon when a page is being loaded. The prob is that the gif just stays still and does not play. 2. I want to navigate using a textbox without a go button. I even run into problems when i use a go button. CAN someone show me how they made their browsers textbox for navigating. (code please?) Thanks, Ranil Lauve Tech

try this Test Private Sub Button1_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click
'Loading AddHandler (WebBrowser1.DocumentCompleted), AddressOf WebpageLoaded WebBrowser1.Navigate(URLTextbox.Text) gifimage.Visible = True End Sub 'After loading Public Sub WebpageLoaded() gifimage.Visible = False End Sub
this is not the best way to do it, but it worked well for me (:

Apries the gif shows up but it does not animate. this is the code i use: Private Sub gobutton_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles gobutton.Click If txturl.Text.Contains(".com") Then WebControl.Source = New Uri(txturl.Text) Try WebControl.Source = New Uri(txturl.Text) Catch ex As System.UriFormatException WebControl.Source = New Uri("http://" + txturl.Text) txturl.Text = ("http://" + txturl.Text) End Try Else : WebControl.Source = New Uri("https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=cr,ssl&ei=aceWVeetJ4K0-AHvpoDwBw#q=" & txturl.Text) End If End Sub however when i type in google.com the app stops debugging but when i type http:// google.com it works

Yes because google.com is not a uri which is what awesomium requires. Awesomium requires a protocol or scheme which is something like http, tcp, FTP , etc
For websites you need http:// or https://
