Hi, Guys I am making a game called BattleCat for My First Game Jam in Unity... The story is about a specially trained Cat known popularly as Commando Cat... Who goes on doing super-cat stuff... As I am still in progress of making the game, I would make this a devlog as well as upload preview builds for you guys to look at... But as I made this thread a bit into the development... I will start from today's onwards.... Wish me luck, Altair

I have so far implemented a Dialogue System and fixed some of the bugs with the animations and stuff as well as Physics...
I also made a sort of Tutorial Level which shows the game mechanics and stuff... I also fixed some scaling problems with the UI Elements...
I also started working on Music for the game...

5 Days Left...Started working on the tutorial levels... But most of the time spent today was to remake the art... The Current Art was not very good... So, thought of making some new ones.... Basically, today I couldn't get much things done on the progress side of things....  I am having a bit of bad feeling about this...

Still Working on art and music... Came up with a sick 8-bit tune.. But now I am tweaking it... Today I was working on Platforming Physics so the player can jump through a platform... When things started to look good, my friend's laptop's charger got burnt... So he could not finish working with the assets today... Hoping he can complete tomorrow....

3 Days LeftToday, I got the pug asset from my friend and we basically spent the entire morning making a story... Currently not spoiling it... I also implemented a health bar and tweaked some physics values and stuff... I also did some work on the bullet physics and reactions of different objects to bullets. But the most important thing I found today was, that you can press middle mouse button to open a link in new tab in chrome... Yay....

Guys,
As some of you may know... I am also recording me developing the game and will release a timelapse soon as its done...
I am not very good at selecting right music for timelapses... So you guys can suggest some epic tunes below... (in the comments)...

Just finished making the prologue file,
Here it is :
A note by the developer : The physics of the game is a bit buggy. If, you find yourself unable to move or stuck in someplace, then press R to fix it...
Prologue
Location : Planet Earth, Year : 2XYZ
Humans became no more as the climate worsened because of their activities...
In their absence, the cats and the dogs became the rulers of the planet, both living in northern and southern hemisphere respectively...
As the years went on, the dog empire became corrupt and started attacking the cats...
The Imperial Dog Army, lead by the famous Commander Pug started invading the northern hemisphere and did mass killings...
The cats were in a hopeless situation, when one cat, stood forward to fight Commander Pug....
The cats with their available resources at their hand made the Heart Blaster and the hope bandana to strengthen that cat..
He became known as Commander Cat...
