How can you make a progress bar when you load or save a large file from richtextbox ?

I don't know of any method of doing this, frankly I've never needed to because even large text files load very quickly.

If you really want to you can use a timer to delay the load of the text file. But like chris said, it's kinda pointless and could effect the quality of the program.

Hey Izy, Unless you were loading thousands of essays into one RichTextBox, quite sure that a loading icon would be unnecessary (even if that were the case it would probably take around less than a minute, exception is that if your computer is a potato). Anyhow, here goes (unfortunately I don't think a .gif will work, I think): MyLoadingImage.Show() Threading.Thread.Sleep(5000) ' 5000 milliseconds = 5 seconds MyLoadingImage.Hide()
'Put code for opening file here (like directly above this eg: RichTextBox1.Load(File) )
Hope this helps!
