I think I did something like this before, can't remember how or where I did it but I think it had something to do with an image or the OnPaint function...I'll check...

Ok I'd tried to draw an alpha color and get a semitransparent background but that didn't work. Maybe I'll have to do that in the OnPaintBackground sub

Guys just a suggestion, In my opinion i think Aero effect is out-of-date and newer OS no longer support this no matter how much winAPI interaction you make as the API are no longer in Win8, 8.1, or (in my case) win10. So i think UI should be adapted by making your components (Metro/Material-design)! But again, just a suggestion!

Well thats a bummer, I wish someone would be a able to create a .NET Skins to do it I really love Aero and Translucent Glass effects. I even wanted to do this because I have been developing iOS 8 Apps Lately. Altair - The Flying One
