Well, named pipes is a good thing, Since AirBrowse is having a lot of JS API, why not developing apps in HTML, This way, a dev can target a app in both AirBrowse and Air OS and if you want I can lend you Project Lemon, It just got a new feature, dev designed UI Libraries. So you can create a custom looking controls that match Air OS's UI Guidelines. It has got a quite a lot of Native APIs as well and one more thing, using lemon, you can create an AirOS IDE integrated into CodeLab.

altair but this allows users to develop in VB and C#. I was trying to revolve less around Awesomium because it isn't very stable and could easily crash.

Yes Izy Coder, once the AppFramework is done, just add a reference to the .dll and in the Form's code say Inherits AirOSForm BUT - the OS has to be done first!

Yeah, you are right. But lemon is written on IE. Well it has it's own weakness. It is quite affective. And ranilwallace I am developing a App Platform that allows people to write apps in HTML, but at the same time, they can also be doing native like stuff like Printing, Saving and opening files, images etc. Altair - The Flying One with added flying power
