Can you just check if the textbox container https:// and have it turn green? Simply add an else command to change it back.

EDIT:
I decided to open up Visual Basic 2010 and I found the code to make the textbox color turn green.
If TextBox1.Text.Contains("https://") Then TextBox1.ForeColor = Color.Green Else TextBox1.ForeColor = Color.Black End If
It checks if the textbox that a URL is written in has https:// in it and it turns it green. Else it would change the color back to black. (You need the else part, otherwise the text will stay green forever.)

Then as Nathan Lecompte said, Richtextbox would be the only way. Unless if you are willing to split textboxes or make some lock icon show up when something is https, you would need a richtextbox to turn only one section of it a specific color.
