Well, as explained in the linked question; you can't mute the sound of the hidden webbrowser control (not that I know of at least, I wouldn't waste time trying to mute it).

Alrighty guys chill, I don't want to deal with any more arguments. bobowk Unfortunately, you will not be able to implement the "Get links and images" code into your Awesomium-based web-browser without having a hidden web-browser; which will result in issues, due to the fact that any auditory data loaded by the web-browser will be heard by the user (as well as the issue of lag, which could cause the links and images to not appear at all). What you can do however, is find other ways to make up for the lack of this specific feature (like implementing other developer-based features, such as maybe an advanced code editor with the implementation of a visual editor, that's just an example). Try brainstorming a couple of ideas (as wild and crazy as you'd like), figure out ways you might be able to implement each feature and then which ever features you are able to (or know you are able to) integrate; add to your browser! If you get stuck with a couple errors, try to fix them yourself first (no matter how long it takes, whether it be hours, days, weeks or even months), sure you can ask online for help; however being able to solve your problems yourself will not only speed up the development, but also greatly improve the final product. If all else fails, ask online with as much detail as you can, and if even they can't help you solve it; then maybe you'll have to drop the idea all-together OR if you're lucky, you might unexpectedly solve it yourself.

You don't need a hidden browser just load it directly from the main browser...

Prezence I think he's trying to get the code from the article "get links and images" to work with awesomium, which it wasn't originally coded for.
